So today was a busy day.  I started out my morning in two and a half hour traffic, trying to get across Los Angeles to NikeTown, in a hopeless attempt to score a pair of the white/gold Pacquiao Trainer 1.2’s that released this morning.  I knew wristbands had already been handed out, and I knew that I had a slim chance of getting a pair, but this was my day off, and I didn’t have anything better to do.  As fast as I pulled up to NTLA, I quickly left there, seeing as how long the line already was.  Fast forward to me back on the East side of Los Angeles, sitting in the parking lot of Undefeated Silverlake, waiting for Chris to open the doors.  I picked up my consolation prize, the black/red pair of Pacquiaos, which are pretty nice if I may say so myself.  If this was the more limited pair, it would probably be more sought after than the white/golds.  Just sayin’.  Chopped it up with Chris for awhile about upcoming Vans, and what not.  He’s always wearing Vans, but for some reason, he doesn’t hit up our OTWS forum.  Hopefully he lurks on there!  So after leaving UNDFTD SL, I met up with my sis to eat lunch at the Chinese food spot next door to Starbucks, off of Central and 2nd.  Not great, but not bad.  By the way, this is not news to us LA peeps, but it is for you out of towners trying to visit RIF, and other spots nearby in Little Tokyo.  Park inside the Office Depot lot, and just walk towards the Starbucks, and then go back to the corner.  The parking guys really aren’t paying attention, and the validation tickets they give out, don’t have a time stamp on them.  After lunch, we hit up RIF LA, and ran into I think his name is Kevin?  Not sure.  I’ve met him before at Rainier’s (Footage aka THECOOLSHOESHINE)’s shop.  Also seen him at a few various sneaker releases.  I checked out RIF, and like always, was just overwhelmed with the amount of kicks…so I couldn’t really find much.  Plus, I’m short, and couldn’t see the shelf that all the Vans were on!  I reminded Jeff about our offthewallsite page, and forum, and he graciously said he would give us a shout out on the RIF blog, and he took my pic.  I hate taking pics, hehe, but if it’s gonna help our site grow, then let’s do it!  It’s kind of funny, cause I don’t introduce myself to anyone as “DJ Guamstyles”, and being that I am hardly taking pics of myself, I don’t expect people to know who I am, out at these sneaker events, but I know everyone else!  I guess maybe some can now put a face to the online SN that I go by.  Once again, a big thanks to Chris, for hooking me up with the PAcquiaos, and to Jeff for showing the OTWS site and fam some love!  Oh, and after checking twitter later on, I realized that Edmyr and Pudge had paid a visit to Jeff as well, later on in the day!
