Update as of 10/8/19 at 9PM: The car was only listed for 5 hours and it is now sold and on to it’s new home!
I am deciding to let go of my 1992 Nissan 240SX “S13” SE Coupe. It’s got 199,735 original miles.
I attempted to sell this thing back in Feb. 2011, but after a few weak offers, I decided to keep it. Since then, the car has been parked up in my driveway, where it’s just sat and been neglected. It was running great, and I physically backed it into the driveway to where it sits now, but that was the last time it was started up or ran. Mileage is still the same as it was in 2011. Since my last for sale post, I need to add that the gas tank will need to be replaced, which I already have sitting inside the trunk of the car, waiting to be put in. The car is lowered, and as the car sat for a few years, air leaked out of the rear left tire, causing the car to rest on the tank, and poking some sort of hole, which made all the gas slowly leak out in my driveway. I picked up a replacement tank from an S13 convertible (same), so you won’t need to purchase one. Other than that, the car just needs to be brought back to life by someone who wants a project car. All of the stuff you will read about this car below, is exactly the condition and care it was in before I just parked it, and a complete listing of all of the maintenance and upgrades I’ve done to the car. Most were the common issues you’d find with S13’s, but keep in mind, this was like 8 years ago, so expect some aging with the paint, rubber, etc. Come and take a look at it, and take it off my hands for potentially a steal, if all that’s needed is the tank and flushing of all the fluids. You’ll just need to bring a trailer to tow it home, preferably a flatbed due to the ride height. It’s also listed now as non-op, so no smog will be done on it, and you’ll need to get new plates for it, as I’m keeping my vanity plates that are on it. AAA said new plates are issued once it’s taken out of non-op and registered. These cars are becoming damn near non-existent now. Especially a 92 Coupe SE with a KA24DE DOHC original motor with less than 200k original miles on it. (Scroll to the end of the gallery of photos for the recent pics of the car).
Here’s all of the info I posted back in Feb. 2011:
