I really enjoy these dudes’ videos, cause they speak directly to my friends and I, being that we grew up all over the SGV. Friends from Monterey Park, all the way to Walnut. (San Dimas, Pomona, and Diamond Bar also gets a pass, even though they’re technically 909!) Check ’em out! Also spot out some of the local spots that we’ve all been to a time or two. (Noodle World, Din Tai Fung, The Hat, ABC Cafe)

Colima Road – Fung Bros. (video) @626ERS @davidbfung @andrewjfung
Just wanted to share this video that a friend shared with me. These guys are pretty funny, and the best part is that they represented the Puente Hills Lifestyle to the fullest! What do I mean by the Puente Hills Lifestyle? Well, I just made it up right now, but I guess it’s a classification of the Asian kids growing up in the Eastern side of the 626, in the most prominent Asian community, this side of the San Gabriel Valley. I’m just trying to separate my friends and I from the typical SGV Asians, from the other side of the 605 freeway! These guys sum up everything that we embrace, especially the food spots, some are places found all over SoCal, but the kids growing up in this area are loyalists to these spots, like Banana Bay (whattup Jed and Jim!), Half & Half, Guppy House, Boiling Crab, etc., and they’re spot on about the waitresses at Guppy House, the sizing at Half & Half, and other funny things like that. Anyways, good job guys, and represent that 626 proper like!

@Store13 : A Journey Through West Covina (thanks @ABDASHLoon)
I found this vid over on the homie Ab-Loon‘s site, for Store13 in West Covina. For those like myself, who were born and raised in West Covina, it’s dope to see all the local spots that I grew up hanging around, even though some have changed a little, like the Orangewood Park that now has a pretty dope skate park there. Lucky kids these days!
