Day 27 of #31daysofvans and I went with one of (if not the first) OG Style 36 LX from the Vans Vault line from 2013, besides the Rick Griffin “Aloha” pack. These were modeled after one of the classics from the early days, featuring a Classic Blue / Dandelion colorway. Who else likes the subtle differences in the Style 36, compared to the Old Skool, like the shorter toe cap, longer tongue, and wider lace eyerow gap? #v31 #underthepalms #strictlywaffles

Day 24 of #31daysofvans and I went with these rare Vans Syndicate x @8five2shop Seylynn “S”’s. The Luke Meier-designed Seylynn started life as a Zero Lo, and has always had an upscale aesthetic. Something that could be dressed up or down. Hong Kong’s @jbs8five2 did these properly, by incorporating a painted leather ollie pad that would reveal blue paint once worn away over time. Day 23 of #31daysofvans and I went with the Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi Velocita LX in black, although the premium dyed leather came out more like a dark coffee brown. Day 20 of #31daysofvans and here’s a Taka Hayashi classic, the No Skool 2 Mid Vulc. He was heavy into the pony hair, embroidery, and leather accents during this time, and it’s my favorite era of Taka’s Vans designs.
